US and Canadian Ring sizes come in size 3 to size 15, half sizes and quarter sizes available up through and including. These numbers are also connected to the inside diameter or circumference of the band on the ring.

How to Measure Your Ring Size from Home?

The ring sizing tools we know and love will let you get the perfect fit and could not quit!

1. PURCHASE A RING SIZER ONLINE

The best way to measure ring size at home is through an adjustable ring sizer online. Find out your ring size to within a quarter of a size - No venturing to the jewelry stores or second guessing! There are two standard types of ring sizers:

Multi-ring sizer: 

On these ring sizers there will be dozens of plastic rings on a central loop. Just try the rings on until you find which rings fit you best to use. A ring that fits perfectly will easily slide over your knuckle, and be close enough to grip snug enough to not spin. It should take a little bit of wiggle or move to be able to get it over the knuckle.

Sliding belt ring sizer: 

These look like a belt with all the different sizes all typed on the outside. How to use: Place the sizer over your finger and work the raised plastic notch until the size fits very tightly against the tip of your finger. 

2. SO WHY MEASURE YOUR RING SIZE WITH STRING ?

• • Wrap string or ribbon around your finger where a ring would, or should, be.
  • Place a notch where the string or ribbon meet. 
  • Find the length wrapped outstretched string in millimeters with the help of a measuring tape or ruler.

Are you ready for math class? You just measured the length of your finger, and that diameter is the circumference of your finger. Divide it by 3.14 (yes, pi) and that’s your diameter.

Heck, there’s not just one, but three ways to use our printable ring size chart above to start measuring your ring size at home. Try one or all three to ensure your perfect fit:

1. Use a ring you already have

Go to your jewelry box and grab a ring that you have already. The Inside Diameter of a Ring that fits on your left hand at the fourth finger ring size is the basis for this method. You basically should choose a ring that you wear on your left ring finger (or whatever finger you are going to be wearing the engagement ring) for the most accurate sizing.

2. On our ring chart with the paper test

Next up is the paper test. You can use the paper strip at the bottom of the chart like a tape measure to find your specific ring size:

• Make sure the ring sizer you print is printed to actual size, then print it out.

• Download the ring size paper test, cut it out and make a slot for marks.

• Put the tip of the band sizer through the slot with the numbers facing out.

3. With a Piece of String

This ring-size method uses a string to find your most accurate ring size:

• Write this ring size chart and print it out, that is, print it to actual size.

• Cut a piece of string around your ring finger at the point where the end overlaps, then wrap a piece of string around your ring finger.

Can I get my ring made bigger or smaller?

We don't offer this service, because the types of metals and a few finishes used in our voodoo crafting process don’t allow for those types of alterations in the same way. Typically we find that if you follow our tips then you shouldn’t have any problems with the size of your piece, however our Sales and Design Team is always on hand to help if there are any queries you have.

Ring Size Guide

In the United States, ring sizes follow a number (and half number) scale usually from ring size 3 to 13.5 for adults. Those units match your finger's width in millimeters: A ring size 3 is a ring that fits a ring finger (with any finger), and it goes up from there. Every half size standard ring goes from 0.4 millimeters larger. That being said, a size 3 ring is 14 mm, a size 3.5 ring is 14.4 mm, and a size 4 is 14.8mm.

Women's rings tend to be 14.2 (between sizes 3 (3 mm) and 9 (9 mm)), while men's rings are between 16.8 (8 (8 mm) and 21.1 (14 mm)). The general rule for women is 5 to 7 or 10 to 11 rings, but it’s always best to measure an exact ring measurement before you spend a lot of money on an engagement ring, which can run into the hundreds and hundreds of dollars.
