You use ring size charts to compare your finger measurement with different sizes around the world. There are different sizing systems applied in different countries: numbers in US and Canada, letters in the UK, and millimeter circumferences in Europe.

There are these differences of historical and measurement for these; so the size that people have in one country doesn’t fit in the other country. Ring sizes in the US and Canada are numerical and don’t really correlate with inches or centimeters. The internal diameter or circumference of the ring is what we use to get the sizes, but the size numbers themselves are part of a standardized scale.

Unlike in the UK and Australia, the ring sizes are done by an alphabetical system, rather than directly related to measurements by inches or centimeters. At what point in your life is it best to know your ring size?

To get your exact ring size it's best to time your measurement in the evening. We were born with flexible fingers which range in size throughout the day and are best measured at their biggest when buying to ensure your ring is comfortable. Fingers will swell at some point during the day and they’ll be at their biggest by the evening. Don't measure the circumference of your fingers when they're cold — they can be at least half a size too small. We suggest you take the time to measure twice because we want your ring size as accurate as possible.

How to Determine the Ring Size?

There are other ways to find the ring size.

• The simplest way to determine the proper ring size is to just ask her (or him). You have chances you have probably talked away once or twice which lets you lay into chat about the size.

In the end that should tell you if the ring is the right size when it goes on easily, it doesn’t dig into your skin when you wear it all day and your fingers don’t wiggle it off. 

To find the most accurate measurement, we do have some pro tips. So if you already have a collection of rings then which is the most comfortable and which ring do you automatically put your hand into? Your ideal ring size is that ring.

If you are measuring from scratch, make sure you measure from the base of your finger near where your knuckle meets the nape, where the ring will sit on. Also, knit the knuckle and if it is significantly bigger.
